God Love Universe is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing stray cats and giving them a second chance at life. Our organization focuses on rescuing abandoned and stray cats, providing them with medical care when needed, and helping them become socialized so they can live safely and comfortably around people. At God Love Universe, we are passionate about pets. We understand that pets are more than just animals – they are part of the family. That's why we treat every pet as if they were our own.
Our Cause
God Love Universe is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization staffed entirely by volunteers with funding support through generous donations. We are dedicated to helping homeless cats find loving homes and increasing awareness of the pervasive issue of feral cats.
Our Goals
Many stray cats are not ready for adoption immediately because they are scared or not used to human interaction. Our team works patiently to socialize these cats, helping them learn to trust people and adapt to indoor life. Once the cats are ready, we transfer them to foster placement and adoption services, where they can be matched with foster families and eventually find permanent homes.
Our mission is not only to rescue cats but also to reduce the stray cat population humanely through education and responsible care.

We also work closely with other rescuers in an effort to reduce the growing population of feral cats in the East Bay through TNR (trapping, neutering and returning them to a natural and safe environment).

New Plan for 2026
In 2026, God Love Universe will launch a new educational outreach program. We plan to visit schools to educate students on how to properly and humanely treat stray cats, understand animal welfare, and learn the importance of compassion, responsibility, and coexistence with animals in our community.
Through rescue, socialization, partnership, and education, God Love Universe hopes to create a safer and more compassionate environment for stray cats and the community.
