Cat Stories

Kiki

Kiki is my first cat, and when I brought her home, she was in such rough shape—starving, painfully thin, and unexpectedly pregnant. At the time, I had no idea.

Kiki is a tortoiseshell cat, and unfortunately, many people shy away from adopting them because they think their unique coloring looks dirty or odd; I admit, that was my first impression too.

Fast forward four years, and Kiki is now a beautiful six-and-a-half-year-old lady. She has a cozy habit of curling up between my feet at night, making me feel her warmth. She’s quite picky with her food, always craving her favorite meat puree and turning her nose up at anything else. Whenever I leave the house for too long, she anxiously waits for me, and as soon as I return, she sticks to me like glue, purring with joy.

They say cats usually live to be around 15 or 16 years old, and I sincerely hope Kiki enjoys a long, healthy life. After enduring hardships outside for so many years, it’s her time to bask in the love and care we shower upon her.
